DID YOU KNOW?
Jewellery is often Plated with Silver or Gold over metals like Copper and Brass to keep prices low.
All our Findings are coated in PVD for a Longer-Lasting, Water-Resistant and Low-Maintenance.
PVD coating for jewellery is a technique that involves depositing a thin, uniform layer of various materials onto the finding’s surface. PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. It produces a brilliant decorative and functional finish. PVD coatings are more resistant to corrosion from sweat and regular wear than Standard Gold Plating alone and is widely used to improve Hardness, Wear Resistance, and Corrosion Resistance.
As part of our Accessories Section, we have decided to offer ~ Earring Backs from Metal to Silicone which can be used with ALL our Earrings even Fishhooks which can be lost despite their shape ~ I’ve done it myself but now use Silicone backs on all my earrings for safety.
In our Aromatherapy Jewellery section, we offer a wider range of Accessories that we feel you will find useful such as Extra Pom-Poms and Lava Rocks plus Felt Pad Inserts (when Avaliable).
All EARRINGS are Non-Refundable for Hygiene reasons.
Our Customers have told us that they buy our Jewellery with confidence that they will never have Sore Ears or Green Rings around their necks from the chains.

METALS THAT CAUSE REACTIONS
– BUT WE DON’T USE THEM
It’s a well-known fact that the Metal contained in some Jewellery including the Hooks etc used to make the jewellery, can cause some Annoying Allergy Symptoms to those that have a Sensitivity to specific materials, and you may not be aware of the Metal(s) and Alloys.
These materials are usually used in cheap priced Jewellery often made abroad. Depending on the level of Sensitivity, it can include Itching, Redness, Tenderness, Swelling, and Warmth to the exposed area. In more severe cases Dry Patches and Blisters may occur. Normally, marks or soreness is caused by METALS which reacts with your skin’s oils
- Brass is often used as a Base Metal that has been coated with either Sterling Silver, or Gold. If your skin turns green after wearing a Necklace or Earrings, it most likely includes some amount of Brass in its metal composition, because Brass is An Alloy Of Copper and Zinc, so if you’re allergic to Brass you are likely allergic to Copper as well.
- Copper metal is a mix of metals or “Alloy” that include mostly Copper, like Rose Gold, which contains a mixture of Gold and Copper to achieve its pinkish hue. But this colour can also be achieved without using Copper which is using Electroplating.
- Nickel is a popular metal that can cause an Allergy, and it is the most widely used as a Metal Alloy used to make Jewellery and Jewellery Findings. Iron is also used in Jewellery and can cause skin reactions, like Nickel.
ψ Stainless Steel may contain small amounts of Nickel and Iron, but seldom causes a reaction to those with Hypersensitive skin. 304 Stainless Steel is a grade of Stainless Steel which is used to make Surgical Instruments for surgery etc and is considered the top Stainless Steel grade like 925 Sterling Silver.
ψ Rhodium is an Inert, Non-Toxic Metal that DOES NOT react to Substances in the Air or on Your Skin, therefore it DOES NOT Irritate The Skin since it DOES NOT Contain Nickel like some other precious metals.
ψ Gold (a variety of Colours = a variety of Alloys)
Not all Gold Jewellery is a safe option when trying to avoid jewellery Allergies. However, certain types of Gold jewellery often contain other metals that can trigger a reaction, suchas White Gold is usually Alloyed with Nickel or other common White Metals to give it the whitest hue. Yellow Gold is often Alloyed with Silver, Copper or Brass in varying amounts.
ψ Karat is a measure of the Purity of Gold, so to avoid any potential allergies, opt for 14ct Gold or higher which is Purer and less likely to trigger any reaction.
